1. Found Poem

Daisy and Jordan lay upon an enormous couch,
Like silver idols,
Weighing down their own white dresses,
Against the singing breeze of the fans,
Gatsby literally glowed,
Without a word or a gesture
Oh, hello, old sport,
As if he hadn’t seen me for years.
It’s stopped raining.’
Has it?
When he realized
He smiled… like an ecstatic patron of recurrent light,
And repeated the news to Daisy,
It’s stopped raining.’
I’m glad,

2. 30 words

And as I sat there brooding on the old, unknown world, I thought of Gatsby’s wonder when he first picked out the green light at the end of Daisy’s dock. He had come a long way to this blue lawn and his dream must have seemed so close that he could hardly fail to grasp it. He did not know that it was already behind him, somewhere back in that vast obscurity beyond the city, where the dark fields of the republic rolled on under the night.
Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that’s no matter—tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther.... And one fine morning——
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

3.Conversation between Nick and Gatsby:

Nick: What do you think of your future life with Daisy, Jay?

Gatsby: Oh, I think we gonna leave here and have our marriage travel. Then goes to a beautiful island and have our marriage. I am sure that the marriage will be grand and fabulous. I will invite all my friends go there to celebrate it! I believe that will be the best memory in my life time. And after that I think we will buy a big house in a metropolis. I like Los Angeles. Or we can back to Chicago, there are some Daisy's friends over there. I can talk with Daisy later about this.

Nick: That's so coooooool man!! So when do you gonna leave?

Gatsby: I think we will leave here as soon as possible, I don't want to see Tom's face anymore. What about you my brother? Anything planed so far?

Nick: emmmm... I think I will stay here and keep doing my work.

Gatsby: Interesting. But why don't you go with me. I have some awesome work that can fit you. You won't be really tired but good salary.

Nick: It's sound great. I can't decide it yet.

Gatsby: Just tell me whenever you want to, my brother. How about go and have a tea inside?

Nick: Sweet!

The unfinished lament about my lost basketball

A Spalding basketball, my dearest friend, you came from a sports shop. (originally perhaps from a unknown factory) You lied on a goods shelf quietly till I took you back home. We enjoyed our time. I touched you and dribbled thousand of times and you jumped back to me every times. When you rolled, i ran with you. When you bounced, I leaped with you. When you flew, I caught you. We sticked together. The time we hung out was much more than the time I spent on video games. I held you when I was doing homework. I took you when I was going to grocery store. I even embraced you when I was sleeping. But one day, you disappeared. As water evaporated in the air. I tried to find you but I failed. I was like losing my dearest brother.
I am such missing you so far. My ball.

Three artifacts

                                                          Three artifacts for me

There are many things go through in everyone’s life time. Some of them just like wind and blow away. But few of them are like a diamond shining in your memory permanently.

The first thing that is indispensable for me is a letter from my sister. She is one year older than me. I got this letter in my 16-year-old birthday. It was the first year i lived in the dorm so we can’t meet each other everyday and also we no longer have that much time to chat whatever we want. Suddenly I felt disappointed as there is an important part of my life are lost. I lost a good friend who can share with our funny stories in weekdays. One day, I was told I have a mail and it was so surprising when I saw it. In this letter she memorized many stories happened before. Some of them were funny. Some of them were impressive. But no argument and blame. Almost never.

Secondly, it’s a picture that took before basketball final game. In this picture every teammates showed their happy smile in our own bright pink color’s jersey. From the left to the right, the man at last line is our Center Yixing—about 6.4 feet. He is a defending monster. At least 12 rebounds and 2 blocks and 1 steal per game.  And he is also good at offense in free-throw lane and sometimes got slam duck!! He is our MVP. The guy stand near him is Xingze, our sixth man, a power forward. Really strong and aggressive. His personal offense is good and get three-point play easily.  The handsome boy next to him is Yuyang, our swingman. He a great long-distance shooter and usually make foul. Next one …the boy with a glasses, that’s me. The small forward of the team. In the front line, The left one also with a glasses is the most defensive player of our team. And also a good wide open shooter. The middle one  in the line is our point guard Qiukai. A nice 3 point shooter. Last one is our shoot guard. A crazy 3 point shooter and a fantastic breaker. On one day, our school announced that the in-school-basketball game will be hold soon! Every class founded their own team and competed with each others to chase the champion. And we got well prepared for it and entered the final successfully. There was an episode happened on the final: In the last 20 seconds in final game, we were still 1 point fewer than our opponents. My teammates trusted on me and let me made the last shot. I got the ball and with a fake hesitation and got a wide open shooting chance! I shot it with out hesitation. The ball was almost in the basket but turned around and went out!!! My heart was stop beating!! I was so disappointed. At that moment, a “giant” jumped up highly and put the ball in !!!!!! It’s our center Yixing!!!! With a sound of whistle, the game ended and we won the championship!!!!! All of players and supporters went crazy. That was so exciting!! It is the best reward of our enthusiasm on basketball.

The last things that I seem as an artifact is a “building” made by spaghetti and marshmallows by ourselves. It was made on August 15th, the first night that I lived in the dorm in NBPS. It’s a totally strange place for me at that time.  I did’t know anybody. On a meeting at night, our dorm parent——Mr. B asked us to use spaghetti and marshmallows to make a building as high as we can. I was in a group as 5 guys in it. This work seemed boring at first but later we found that a single spaghetti is too weak to build up. So we need to design the shape of our building first and then cooperate with our teammates. It was a tough progress. The building collapsed two times and ww trying our best to figure it out. We got a stable building at last. It looks like a pyramid. Beautiful, isn’t it? It was the first work that I did in NBPS. And I also made friends with my teammates. It’s a good beginning of my brand new life.
